Well it has been a week or two since I finished up my latest online workshop. It has taken me this long to come down off the high and talk about it and most of all show some of my work. I have been following Marta Locklear for awhile now. Her images just speak to me. I love the moments she captures, the dreamy creaminess of everything she shoots. She just inspires me. So when she announced that she was having an online workshop I think I might have been the first to sign up.
It was a lovely journey. She challenged us to push our limits and think outside the box. And of course all of the lovely ladies that also were a part of the journey made it even more special. Just a few of the lovelies that you might want to check out…. Angie Warren, Jayne Jewell and Kristanne V just to name a few!
Marta is running another online workshop in November so pop on over to her workshop site and sign up… you won’t regret it! Also, if you want to get to know Marta a little better, head on over to The Savvy Photographer, she is being featured and there is fun stuff to check out too!
On to the images… first a self portrait (which I hate taking by the way)!
And here goes image overload… starting at the beginning of the workshop and the last set being the final assignment!
Have I convinced you yet? Go sign up…

This is another session from my recent road trip. We had a blast! Hung around the house and then took a walk to the local park. The boys loved showing me their local hang out… and is there a better way to capture a family naturally. Thanks for the great time guys! And just a warning, it is image overload… there were way too many good ones to choose.

Cyndi contacted me quite a few months ago. She knew as soon as she was pregnant that she wanted a portrait like the cover of Vanity Fair with Demi Moore. Well, I think she gives Demi a run for her money… she is gorgeous.
Also, I am trying something new with blog posts. If Cyndi and Kyle receive 25 comments on their session, they will receive a free print from me. So go ahead and leave a comment, I want to give them a print! Just look at the end of the post to leave a comment.
*UPDATED* Wow, Cyndi is good. She received 25 comments almost within 24 hours. Way to good Cyndi! But keep the love coming, we all love a little love. Your print is on its way…
This is her grandmother’s shawl from when she was a young woman. It is so great to incorporate meaningful things into a session. When we do her little ones session in a few weeks, the shawl will make another appearance.

Well, our middle child had a rough week this week. She lost her pet hamster, Pip. Although we had only had him for a short time, the bond she had formed with him was huge. There were many tears and promises of a replacement. So to cheer everyone up a bit, we had a little outing this weekend and I think she is going to be pretty happy with the stuff we came up with. Thanks for the fun little Frenchie!
