Another word… pink. And it just so happened that my peonies started to bloom, and they are pink! Perfect timing… I love these shots so much that they are going to become the new artwork on the wall above my bed.

Another week of the one-word project. Are you sick of me yet? And I think I am behind a bit in posting. The word… spring. And since some of my other images were spring related, I took a different spin on spring this time.

As a photographer, I am always trying to remind people of the importance of family pictures. Catching the moments and love that make up your family at that very moment. Well I finally took my own advice. My friend, Dana Pugh of Short and Sweet Photography, emailed me to tell me that she was taking a camping trip with her family and would be coming through Kelowna on the way home. I jumped at the chance to have her photograph my family. She has such a special gift of capturing families as they are.
And let me tell you how special her photographs are to me. They warm my heart every time I look at them. To have images of me with my children and family is something so special that it is hard to put into words. Here are just a few of me and my kids…

Happy Mother’s Day to all the mom’s out there!

A little behind on blogging my one -word project, but last week’s word, pieces.
I have been quilting for a long time. My granny taught me when I was just a girl. My very first quilt that I made with her guidance is still hanging around my place, making it’s weekly visit to soccer games, the occasional back-yard picnic, and definitely a regular at family movie night. It is a little worse for wear with holes and worn out spots, but loved no less for it. Since taking up photography, quilting had taken a seat on the back burner, but with my quilts making many miles, and it is time to replenish. So, pieces…
