one word | Kelowna Photographer

It seems that in the craziness of photo shoots and life, the joy that I find in photography ebbs a little and my creativity gets lost. Fifteen… | Kelowna Senior Photographer

Oh man… I never thought the day would come. As I sit listening to Fifteen by Taylor Swift, I realize that in a few short days I am going to be a mom to a fifteen year old. How did that happen?

Taylor is a good kid (teenager). We really couldn’t ask for a better daughter. She is beautiful on the inside and out. She still loves to hang with her family and family dinners are always entertaining, interesting, and I almost forgot, dramatic!  She is so compassionate and patient, especially with her brother and sister. She has aspirations of being a teacher, which she would be amazing at. She is busy… piano (grade 9 RCM), volleyball (club team), Tae Kwon Do (green belt). She does well at school and her teachers love her, and she has a pretty active social life with a close group of friends (hi Nicole!).

Oh, and at 5′11”, she has legs that never end.

She is probably blushing as she reads this…

but Taylor, your Dad and I love you… and are so proud to call you ours!

‘When you’re fifteen and your first kiss

Makes your head spin ’round

But in your life you’ll do things greater than

Dating the boy on the football team

But I didn’t know it at fifteen’

Taylor Swift
