I got to spend a few hours with this sweet little family on a hot day in September. Someone forgot to tell Mother Nature that it is fall, but anyways… we headed out to the family’s lake property in Lake Country and let me tell you! It had everything… dock, beach, playground, vineyard, just gorgeous!

Avery and I recently did a little do over on her room. It was one of those rooms where when we moved in 4 years ago, I had big plans. But they never seemed to happen, so with a little trip to Ikea, a little paint and some hard work, we pulled it off. And I love that a few elements in her room she has had forever and she didn’t want to part with them, even though she is soon to be ten.
Well it has been a week or two since I finished up my latest online workshop. It has taken me this long to come down off the high and talk about it and most of all show some of my work. I have been following Marta Locklear for awhile now. Her images just speak to me. I love the moments she captures, the dreamy creaminess of everything she shoots. She just inspires me. So when she announced that she was having an online workshop I think I might have been the first to sign up.
It was a lovely journey. She challenged us to push our limits and think outside the box. And of course all of the lovely ladies that also were a part of the journey made it even more special. This beautiful family was visiting Kelowna from out east. They picked an absolutely gorgeous time to visit the Okanagan, except for the day of pictures. We woke up to pouring rain. We thought it would have to be postponed, but we held out and the weather turned around. You would never know the day had been so gloomy! I think we captured some amazing pictures for them to remember their holiday by.
He is getting so big! You forget how quickly they change at this age. Here he is at 5 months.
